Robin Williams Please
Robin Williams would be my comedian of choice.
To live in the same building, to attend a picnic with,
To become lifelong friends.
I thought he was brilliant in most of his TV work
On Mork and Mindy; I believe most of the adlibs were left
In, because he was his own best writer.
He and I have similar personalities. I knew this when
I watched him in Patch Adams, he has a tender empathetic
side that appealed to me. I used to be a Make-a-Wish
volunteer. Someone said to me “Isn’t it sad to be around
dying children?” and I said “on the contrary, they are
the happiest children I have met because they recognize
how important every day of their life is." I feel that
Robin Williams spent time with dying children too and
knew this.
Robin Williams would tell me about his stand-up acts
And I would laugh like a hyena on meth. I would throw back
My head and smack it against furniture, to let him know
How much his talent was appreciated. Someday I hope
To get to know his spirit in heaven.
