I agree w/the other poets/poetesses, Jan. A most excellent haiku. A very good debut offering. You have compiled an impressive list of poems. I will just have to chip away over time (3 poems per sitting) like ole John Henry working the railroad tracks. Love your poetic pennings thus far. Much love and more love to you and yours.

Very colorful Haiku..Reads like a winner to me..As far as I know we don't have Kingfisher species here..I think that they are only coastal..They are a lovely bird..Thanks for the visit to my page..Sara

i feel so bad for the Kingfisher's dinner. i have heard though they won't eat clown fish. they taste funny. this is a great contest entry i hope you win.

Sadly I have never seen one on the Island in 18 years Tim :-( But we do have lots of other stunning birds in particular I love watching the herons when I am down at the bay may walk mum down there tomorrow it will really tire her out! Hugs Jan xxx
