Rising Tide

You thought that I’d be weak, one easy to subdue You wove your web of lies and never followed through But in the dark, I swam the depths none other could withstand I fought for love, I fought the pain with bloodstained, aching hands Through the dark I held him, but at dawn he slipped away The warrior fought against the night and left to meet the day But for his love and for belief, I’ll swim the sea again You cannot comprehend the light when all you love is gain I’ll rise from dust and flame, you cannot keep me down A thousand drops of rain can force a man to drown A churning sea of love and pain will seeth behind my eyes You can try to stop me but man can't hold back the tide
