Rising Above the Grave

You were brutally murdered and left to tragically die
Your body is as cold as winter, your spirit is almost in the sky
The world is a raging hell; their soul is a dark abyss
You’ve been so good to them, but they decided to treat you like this
Abused ever since you were born
Your mind and your heart’s been torn
You’re life was nothing but doom
Until you got tired of all the gloom
Emerge dear soldier from your bed of tears
Wipe your face and tackle your fears
Rise above the grave they buried you in
Discover the power you have within
Erase the pain of a million words
Words that pierced through you as swords
No more heart aches, because you are strong
Strong enough to forgive those who did you wrong
Rise up dear soldier with your head held up high
As they sink to the bottom and you reach to the sky
