Rising Above

Letting the wind flow from her hands for a chime

The breeze soothes calloused palms in the storm

Reaches out for seagull’s wings and mellow prayer

Weaves its flight into solace at this moment in time

Moving the sand with her toes for a tune at the shore

Finely grained powder eases its way into her mind

Imprints the feel of the beach in quiet meditation

Absolves anger and hatred into kindness therefore

Watching a sea star fish holding on to a dolphin

Wondrous amazement kindly caresses her soul

Attaches containment to where sadness had twisted

Opens her eyes for meaningful truth residing therein

I enjoyed this poem Kai and the way you turned negatives into things of beauty. Blessings, Susan
