Rising

I have been down to the lowest level, Where I stood face to face with the devil. But I had to raise myself up higher, And was able to get up out of the fire. I had dug myself into a deep dark hole, Where the emptiness would filled my soul. I had found a way to raise my spirit, To be able to get up out of that pit. I had been to the bottom of the abyss, Where I found that the world was amiss. I had to climb up toward the light, And I was able to escape that with a fight. I've stood at the base of the mountain, Where I knew I'd have to climb again. And I will never be able to stop, If I ever wanted to reach the top. I have now reached the highest point, Having fun with the finest joint. There's only one place left for me to go, As I can see the stars beginning to show The sky is clearing up for me The future is just that clear for me to see.
