Rise Forever

What is this that whispers so
Upon a sleeping heart?
With a brush so tenderly,
I wake a sleeping art.
From the hills of darker days
She rises on the star,
And I dream a silent word
So spoken from afar.
Come to me, oh bitter-sweet;
Tell me what I see.
Open eyes do not alight
So buried within me.
And yet, a dream of dreaming still--
the light has gathered here.
Sleeping eyes that dream so deep,
Rise forever, Dear.

Sincerely yours,
