Rise At Dawn's Soft Spoken and Eager Sun's Reprieve

Thank you to my friend, Robert Lindley, for another joint project, every bit as rewarding as any of the rest. Rise At Dawn's Soft Spoken And Eager Sun's Reprieve A collaboration with Robert Lindley 6th December 2018 Let forests pure and pristine, live to give great hope that man can see true Light beyond his darkened scope Nature gifts us beautiful truths and savage scenes despite we wanting blue skies, meadows verdant greens, far from heat of concrete slabs and long city streets one may traverse wherein soul and mother earth meets; walk paths of reality and seek deeper peace, and from his man-made jungle find a sweet release; unto peaceful valleys and clear flowing soft dreams a lost soul reborn, with peace and calm that redeems. Let forests pure and pristine, live to give great hope That man can see true Light, beyond his darkened scope To know truth diligently search its hidden spots untouched by man, with destructive hand that sends rot, Rise at dawn's soft spoken and eager sun's reprieve find those awesome scenes that aching heart so relieves; as eyes feast on magic colors and singing birds, such that are far, far more beautiful than mere words; finding paradise within this realm too oft dark, walking through flower-meadow scenes, hear singing lark. Let forests pure and pristine, live to give great hope that man can see true Light beyond his darkened scope Give no credence to the malevolent tower whose gift is withheld to preserve its own power, but walk naked and alone and empty-handed away from the contest where once you were stranded; under sunlight’s true might and in rain’s true embrace stand on earth that is yours with the wind in your face; now look with new eyes to the new gods that should be, for before us they were, and are within the tree. Let forests pure and pristine, live to give great hope That man can see true Light, beyond his darkened scope Now lie face down in the grass, but count not one blade, dwell not in the chambers where your nerves were first frayed, count not the false cost of greenest truth on your skin, but give in to its caress most longed for within; the leaves and the bark and the benevolent rain, the soil, once so pure, and your spirit, once so plain; free of and beyond luxurious prison walls the gloom may be lifted as Mammon’s sceptre falls. Let forests pure and pristine, live to give great hope That man can see true Light, beyond his darkened scope

The magnificent spirit of this poem speaks to my heart, ignites my imagination and moves my soul, Lawrence. This is a brilliant and inspiring collaboration with Robert. The potent magic of your combined pens casts a spellbinding beauty of deep and meaningful poetry in finding roots of true appreciation within Nature, but especially, within one's natural self. A gorgeous collaborative gem that sparkles with emotions and with both your mighty talents, Lawrence and Robert. Warmest wishes always, my friend.. ~Susan
