Notes About The Poem

Hope you all filed early and are enjoying the day.

Rise and Shine

Rise and Shine
By Franklin Price

Rise and shine the tax man's coming
The end day has arrived
You best be done or he'll have fun
With penalties derived

He'll arrive in armored car
Much like Santa in his sleigh
But he's not bringing presents
He's here to take away

He'll pass you by won't make you cry
If your taxes you have done
If procrastination was your thing
He'll stop 'cause you're the one

The one who who thinks that waiting
Will somehow stop this day
Now you've gone an done it
And the tax man's come to play

Didn't mean to stop the party
This final day will not annoy
If you filed you taxes early
It's another day you can enjoy

Franklin, the tax man cometh. Thanks for the reminder. Your poem is raining on some of our parades. We did file early so we can celebrate. A good read even though the subject is not popular. ~ Sonia
