Ripple Through Time

A mirror shadow of a passing glance of who I use to be.
It’s no one’s fault no one to blame so perfectly clear I did this to me.
Left unchecked and buried deeply inside it wears many of masks of shadow of disguise.
Like a parasite feeding off it’s host believing in the web of lies.
My reflection gazing back at me once so steady dissolves away and is washed out to sea.
Fueled only by chemicals under the illusion that’s all going to be ok.
only after enough damage done then I see what this parasite has done to me.
The biggest war still it waits for the stand off me vs me
Every voice and every mask is singing a lullaby to believe in the disguise.
A glimmer of hope still lives on waiting to take the rise.
This just but a ripple in a page of this story of mine.
