Righteousness is a menace to corruption
He was subjected to a biased system just like me
He was falsely accused of blasphemy
His presence was a threat to their status quo
So into a jail cell Jesus they did throw
righteousness is a menace to corruption
and Justice is a danger to obstruction
and anyone who tries to make this world woke
those in dark seats of power will cut off and choke
we serve a God of true salvation
a God of righteousness and restoration
and no matter how hard evil tries to take us down
God will always place us on higher ground

Jesus's sacrifice was the catalyst
that allowed us to be renewed and blessed
and the sacred blood that was shedded
on Mount Calvary
cleansed us of sin and gave us a ministry
they wanted to eradicate
and make Him an outcast
they wanted to exterminate
and treat Jesus like trash
but righteousness will always be
a menace to corruption
and spiritually justice always
a danger to obstruction
and anyone who tries to make this world truly woke
those in dark seats of power will cut off and choke
yet they couldn't destroy Jesus's reputation
not comprehending He was God's creation
The Messiah, Our Savior, the Son of Man
Who came to wake us up to His Father's plan
yes, righteousness is a menace to corruption
and justice is a danger to obstruction
and Jesus who came to make this world woke
will never be cut off and will never choke
