Right, Meow

Right, Meow

I'll put my words here
Where they cannot hurt you
And you don't have to hear them if you wish
I'll make it unclear
Obscuring the virtue
Of the goals and the souls that we miss

I want it to matter
But it doesn't
The silence was shattered
But it wasn't
Keeping our distance
Together
Wondering where "what ifs" went
Forever

I knew at the time
That it was right now
As you looked back and walked out of view
In that airport line
I knew it right, meow
The last time I'd ever see you
