Right Here Right Now

I lie awake each night, just to watch you sleep,
The dreams that you’re dreaming, are the secrets that you keep.
When I’m far from home, there are so many things I miss,
Your smile, your laugh and your tender loving kiss.
I can’t help but watch you breathe, the rise and fall of your chest,
If I’m not lay beside you, I can’t seem to rest.
I will endeavour to protect you, even from afar,
Just look to the skies above, wish upon that shooting star.
I will come back for you, you have my solemn vow,
I wish I could watch you sleep, right here, right now.
