Right Here

The garbage barge is floating large, A tugboat smoothly towing. The seagulls swoop, a noisy group, To follow where it’s going. I sit and stare, quite unaware Of who might pass behind me, But those who know where I might go Would very quickly find me. Unless it’s wet or winter’s net Has trapped me and it’s freezing, I’ll be right here, the river near, To all my senses pleasing.

Lovely thoughts; you are enjoying winter I see, I had worried about all the snow in Buffalo, hoping you were safe.

How long have you gone to the river ?Really liked your expression winter's net.Do you sit and meditate?Do you just allow your thoughts to flow.Heard the expression river rat for people inextricably drawn to their banks. You have almost flung a craving on me Ilene to meander to the bank of the big muddy flowing by my berg.

Always the hub of activity with something of interest to catch your eye. Would that be the Hudson by any chance Ilene?. Tom

Hey Tom! It’s the East River. Not as impressive as the Hudson, but good enough for me…
