RIGGED ELECTIONS

The ballot box frowns
As a second slip sneaks in
Agents asleep, their guard undone
This act, their party's loss begun.

In another world, quiet and cold
Where eyes merely witness, and truth is sold
Another ballot box grins with glee
Its smile bought by bribery.

What once was a promising race
Now marred by a missing name, a darkened trace.
A different print, a shadowed twist
A voter lost, forever missed.

No longer a choice, but a staged deceit
A premeditated game where truth meets defeat.
Like a circus without its clowns
The ballots turn, as fate frowns.
