Ride the Happy Pony
Ride the Happy Pony, ride it
down the stone-covered path;
his gallops add clamor
to the clinking metal shoes;
and if the sound is dull
is because the dry leaves crack!
Ride, the happy pony, ride it...
air and sun delight you a lot;
freedom costs nothing
when the mind discerns
how exciting is living
to explore all places
peaceful and unknown!
Ride the happy pony, ride it
down those remote paths little-known;
look everywhere: up and above,
the scenery charms your senses
and smiling you breathe the aroma
of flowers that increase wild joy!
Ride the happy pony, ride it...
adolescence and happiness
create that sense of harmony
never split by monotony,
always remaining bonded!
Ride the happy pony, ride it
downhills and greet the trees
that are dressed in green;
aloneness isn't dismal sadness
when one enjoys the total freedom
found in Nature and in its immensity!
