Ride on King Jesus
He came riding on a braying ass
upon a carpet of palm leaves He did pass
yet He didn't show up in regal gear
He wore a simple tunic with salvation in the air

fulfill the prophecy
the people were cheerful
but the Pharisees were mad
that Jesus's followers were behaving
overly glad
It was a day of jubilation and total glee
a day of liberation to be spiritually free
ride on King Jesus

God wants to eliminate any and all oppression
He has no care for riches nor earthly possessions
His concern is those in spiritual poverty
the lost and forgotten souls of our society

fulfill the prophecy
go forth Lord Christ follow your faith
go forth Lord Christ the promise awaits
ride on King Jesus
follow your destiny

fulfill the prophecy
and at the Last Supper
Jesus's final meal
before His betrayer He stood
His destiny was revealed
ride on King Jesus
towards your ultimate destination
yes it was Your crucifixion
but it became our salvation
