Ride on King Jesus
When Jesus came into the City
riding on a braying ass
He was greeted with a carpet of palm leaves
as He came to pass
it was a symbol of triumph
the laying down of palm leaves
it was a statement of victory
for the people to receive
unlike most other sovereign leaders
arriving in full regal gear
Jesus came in a simple garment
with salvation in the air
as God is not concerned
with the outward trappings of society
His main concern is for those
who are living in spiritual poverty
for God desires to eliminate
any and all kind of oppression
and He does not care about any riches
no worldly possessions
now the people was so rejoiceful
it made the Pharisees mad
they asked Jesus to rebuke his followers
for being loud and overly glad.
but Jesus said I can't tell him not to be joyful
and dance about
for if they stopped that jubilation
then the stones will start to cry out
for blessed is he who received the joy
that comes from the Lord God
even the king such it's Me
must have him in my heart
ride on King Jesus
so that can realize
ride on King Jesus
towards our eternal prize
follow your faith, never stop,
never turn around nor look back
be aware demonic strongholds
waiting to ambush and attack
ride on King Jesus ride from Mount Olive banks
ride on King Jesus on an untamed coach flank
ride for your chorus of cheerers
those who have your back
fellow disciples in Christ
in unity on the right spiritual track
just know there'll always be a choir of critics
who never say a kind thing
the haters, unbelievers and gossipers
who think the worse about everything
ride on King Jesus, go forth and follow your faith
ride on King Jesus, Your destiny now awaits
the joy of Palm Sunday, a day of jubilation and cheer
the joy of Palm Sunday, a time to draw the Lord God near
ride on King Jesus, be aware that Judas is on the down low, ride on King Jesus. It's time to start the show
and at the Last Supper which became jesus's final meal
He stood before his betrayer, while his destiny was revealed
for whatever life throws at you,
you must choose and decide
will you follow God's destiny for you
like the day that Jesus did ride
ride on King Jesus on Good Friday destined to die
ride on King Jesus on Easter Sunday. Your Spirit to rise
ride on King Jesus towards your ultimate destination. It might have been your crucifixion,
but it was all salvation
