Richie Havens - Rest In Peace

Heard the news today 
     about Mr. Havens 
He left this mortal coil yesterday
    I remember his "Minstrel From Gault"well
I thrilled when I heard "Man came down from "Sinai Mountain" 
He was a terrific guitarist 
     with his own unique approach to the instrument 
"Gone from the Earth to a Better Land I Know"

I loved listening to him, he sang Freedom" at woodstock. I didn't hear anywhere he passed. Nice tribute though. thank you for reading Monsters. you have an awesome day ;}

Hello Matthew :-) a blessing poem. One can only see death as a better place. A heart-felt poem may he rest in peace ""FREEDOM"". Did you know Richie with the beautiful last name of Haven, personally. I know of Richie Haven the folk singer... He loved his guitar. I heard of his death on CNN. This is a lovely tribute. I think he was 72 years old. thank you for the wonderful words...xox~ Linda
