Rich Beyond Belief
We think of riches as bags of silver and gold
that can buy whatever we choose
And that happiness will magically follow
and never more will we sing the blues
But in life there exists something of far more value
than money, cars and diamond rings
We often overlook it as such
as we are so enthralled with our many things
It can't be bought and sold like jewels
even though it is extremely rare
It comes from where, we do not know
but upon arrival it fills the air
The heart may pound and the words one utters
may make no sense in human terms
We are totally defenseless to its power
as our action quickly confirms
But once we succumb to its magic spell
the world takes on a vibrant glow
And suddenly all that mattered before
becomes lost in its ebb and flow
And all at once we realize that
we have been truly blessed from up above
Life's grandest treasure has come our way
as we have found that thing called love
