Rhythm of Life

Seconds-minutes-hours lent
Days-months-years all went
Decades-centuries-millennia spent
Incarnations. time measure
Lives lived, cosmic treasure

In the ledger of life, a child is born
Within trials and tribulations, hearts are worn
Notions evolve into love and scorn
Lessons temper mind
Stay true, good and kind

Through spiritual compassion we evolve deep inside
From positive and negative all can abide
A thread of hope to turn the tide
Undo knots that bind
Calm stems moral decline

Rational thought can change one’s fate
Those who love and those who hate
Just a smile the light awaits
Rid the mind of fear
Harmony or strife is near

Humanity’s fate is a collective goal
Good or evil one plays the role
Karma or virtue is worn on each soul
Heaven's blessing of return
One’s soul does yearn

Another chapter in the rhythm of life
All will be renewed by the Creator’s love
