Rewolf

'REWOLF'

IN THE GARDEN GREW A FLOWER,
ALONE IT GREW ITSELF,
ONLY AT NIGHT A CERTAIN HOUR,
THE FLOWER PETALS ITSELF,
I PEEKED OUT THE WINDOW,
IT EVEN SHOWED A LIGHT GLOW,
OPEN UP ITS PETALS IN AN USUAL WAY,
I DON'T KNOW!
I MENTIONED THIS TO A FLORIST SO CURIOUS
IT WAS TO ME,
THE FLORIST GOT REAL QUIT AS THEY STARRED
SO DEEPLY,
YOU SAID ITS A FLOWER WHO PETAI OPEN AND CLOSE,
YES IN AN USUAL WAY SOMETHING CURIOUSLY UNKNOWN,
RE-WOLF I CALL IT,
PETALS ITSELF TO THE MOON,
FLOWER=RE-WOLF
A BACKWARDS FLOWER,
THAT HOWLS TO THE MOON,
EPIPHYLLUM OXYPETALUM.
