Rewind
If only time could just go to quick rewind
and in a breath catch all moments sublime
when we first met and our lives aligned.
If only the experience could return again
and be felt as deeply as it did then
the precious moments of our shared when.
Time though is ever moving forward
and only the recall seems a little altered
as dreams are now speeding to fast forward.
For a second wait
looking back and hesitate
as life remembered comes too late
Live life in its time
embrace all you find
for there is no return in rewind.
