Rewards
here on this cracked pavement
underneath a golden moon
I open up my heart
this time it will not bruise
I have had a few false starts
sometimes the bottom has dropped
this time on this golden brick path
there won't be signals to make me stop
I believe that love can happen, although
tomorrow might make me weep
I won't let that hold me back
the reward is much too sweet
I'm sweeping out the cobwebs
I'm blowing off the dust
I'm kicking down this door
I'm ready for me to be us
