Revolution
I want to be able to like myself
see what those who love me see
Still why I dwell on those who hate
Is a constant mystery to me.
Negativity jealousy plain dislike
How is that force more strong?
Than pure and unconditional love
Somewhere it all went wrong.
I apologise for being me
For existing and having opinions
Somehow I believe I don’t belong
In someone else’s realms and dominions.
I have to learn, to love myself
Believe that I have worth,
Take the fundamentals and
Become more down to earth.
Live a simpler existence
Let my value truly shine
Immerse in positivity
Let my personality self-define.
Refrain from saying sorry,
No i mustn’t apologise
For being, breathing, living
The hardest habit to revise.
I guess what I am saying
Is it’s time to start anew
Overthrow the haters,
It is now we stage a coup.
