McGough an English poet, a Lancashire lad &performance poet, grew to fame in the culture of the early sixties Beatles era with poems like this featured 'Mrs Moon ' atypical of his off beat contemporary recitatives that helped to popularise poetry to an audience used to 'pop' culture outpourings .
