Reverence Blessing

To understand a burdened life 
at such an early age,
the common man of hardened heart
would live his life with rage.
When putting all before oneself 
the noble role is played,
as love becomes the driving force
for sacrifices made.

Hence a lifetime having lived
as one who takes the lead, 
working far beyond his share
in tending ceaseless need.
The place within of which he's held
is gilded with respect,
our humbled hearts of gratitude 
wholeheartedly reflect.

For such a man of character
beyond the selfish ways,
may the blessings of the Lord
bring peace throughout his days.
And may God heal with holy hands
his suffering and pain,
for with his health his family
and the world have much to gain.
