Revealing Nature's Mask
Leaves slowly passing,
now frozen in midair;
the moment-like for time-is gasping,
but the branches not left bare.
This fall-
it seems so magical,
supernatural;
nature shows itself-
a willingness quite admirable.
Revealing the beauty-
nature has long been masking,
the wind-beneath my feet-is rambling-
my attention, it is demanding.
So I take the time to listen-
while in the midst, of a sight so enchanting;
for I believe the message is sufficient-
and the questions are still worth asking.
