Reunited

You are my best friend from way back when I did not like how I used to be then It took my energy when you left my state I felt abandoned and so entirely irate I hated life without my best friend I swore we'd be together until the end But it's been five years and I haven't seen your face For my past is so jaded and hard to retrace My best friend still buried in my heart I never liked you and I apart My tears cried for years and years Because my best friend was not there to take away my fears Frustrated pain every day without you I knew our friendship would always be true Your back now with so much to say My mind wanders seeing you on Tuesday Because without you I am not whole Because being away from you, my heart took it's toll And your warm body I'll cry and hold in mine Back to my arms you'll finally find
