Reunion

Nature it has been too long – Too long since I have penned your name, And felt your muses swiftly take My soul to sing of your embrace Too long the morning mists have come and gone; The fading sunlight danced upon the trees; The wind blown far across the open plains; The waves crashed coldly on the shores of seas; And yet I have been silent of you all, My soul held captive in my human ways, To leave alone unanswered beauty’s call, As she sings sweetly of the dawning day Let me return and bury my young soul To grow and blossom in your gentle care; Let all my laden worries be dissolved, And free my spirit from this mortal snare.
