Return To the Light

Come up from the dark side
and face the light
so if only for a moment
it gives some sight
to your dilated midnight eyes

You listen to your heart
as you've done before
then follow it blindly
so you're never sure
if it's telling the same old lies

The friends that surround you
just block your way
They need you to feed off
it's what you must pay
for the price of your own demise

You've become open season
for someone with guile
to enrapture your soul
and twist with a smile
so when all are laughing
It's just you that cries
