Return of Spring

Robins are scratching for worms in the grass, Alert to everything that might do them harm Butterflies hover nearby in the flower garden. Soon the honeybees will come to the garden Searching for nectar from flowers in the grass, None of these creatures cause the others harm. Only one thing causes these critters some harm I will be cutting the fading flowers in my garden My yard man will soon be cutting the tall grass. Letting the grass grow tall can harm my garden.

Survival of the fittest, forthrightly stated! Never thought of a lawnmower as a 'critter-killer' before! Smiles, Gershon

Have you ever run over a rabbit's nest? Or, a yellow jacket's nest? I have. I cry if its rabbits (so well hidden) and run like hell if it's yellow jackets. I get them after the sun goes down. Yep! Survival of the fittest!

I don't really have a good place for annuals. My front yard is shaded with the dogwood tree, and the back yard is shaded by two huge sycamore trees. Hastas are about all I can raise now. I have seven houseplants in my living room, however. I do love my plants.
