Return and Love Is Made True

The deep cuts of our scars
Are like the quiet drift of the stars
The longer we hold onto the hurt
The further we both drift apart

I hope we don’t miss the mark
On our return journey back
‘cos babe we’ve only got one shot
Or we lose all that we’ve got

I pray you’re safe in the sail of life
I’ve lost you before, but what if
Wherever the winds do carry you
You return and love is made true

What time is hiding in its makeup
It reveals in you as you wakeup
You’re more beautiful each day
More radiant than the sun’s rays

We’ve redefined the laws of attraction
They are not to be found in gravitation
But in the implosion of our passion
And in that fundamental question..

..so what if
Wherever the winds do carry you
You return and love is made true
