I shouldn't have to rhyme these words
For you to know its a poem
For your eyes are blank like you drank
Alcohol straight from a jeroboam
Your hearts are curled
Like the fists of a newborn
Your ears are closed shut
Your mind a distant storm
For man fails to recognize
The words between the lines
We fail to find our purpous
Cause our lives are so unjust
We take in too much pride
Of our own lives
Pride in our breasts
And our heads held high
But like little children
Our humility will suffer
We shall wipe the weary feet of
Our fellow sisters and brothers
So consider this a warning
And a reassurance too
Soon I hope you'll recognize
The humble spirit in you.
