Resurgam

Can one’s passion ever run out
It happens for sure, I’ve no doubt
When hearts get overworked and tired
Ever more rarely get inspired
When soft brown earth is arid sand
There is something to understand
The mind begins to play its tricks
Scattering emotional bricks
That once might have built something strong
Dreams forgotten before too long
Yet deep inside there’s still a seed
That to its new growth has agreed
And perhaps to blossom once more
In the warm glow of love, I’m sure
And passions are re-energised

Thanks for the note of optimism here. It's never over 'til it's over,' as Yogi Berra might have said.
