Restless Reasoning
I lost my reason since
This lack of crying lit
A fire in my mind
If I look what else will I find?
A reason never came
The reason felt so strange
And then I laid back down
I let the feelings drown me out
What if I slipped away?
What happens in decay?
What if I broke your heart?
It takes me right back to the start
I built a reason with
The lake where I submit
The child that I am
Will he turn the lake into sand?
My reasoning could never save me
The reason for this will never escape my mind
But if I turn and become the silence
Can I break the mirrors that give in to defiance?
What if I lay back down?
Will I awake to another dying sound?
What if I close my eyes?
Will I become another empty, spreading lie?
