Restless Minds

Restless minds,
And beating hearts.
Given to love
Is where it starts.

An anxious body,
And a sleepless mind,
How can fate
Be so unkind?

Just get over it
Some people say
But really it doesn’t
Work that way.

The pain you feel,
You can’t let show.
All because
You can’t let go.

Ninety to nothing
In a second flat.
A temper flies off
And that’s just that.

For the restless minds
And racing hearts.
The love of life
Always departs.
