Resting Place

I long for a place to rest my soul
A place of eternal peace
Some place where the angels sing
And all my pain shall cease

Some place where there's no more death
And tears are a thing of the past
A place that shuns the darkness
And light shall reign at last

Some place where we live life free
For there is no more war
Though this place I long to see
Is so worth fighting for

Some place where there's no more time
No minutes, hours, or years
Some place where there's no more hate
It simply disappears

Some place where my sorrows fade
A place I'm never alone
I long to see that resting place
A place that I call home

I too long to see THAT resting place, where the wicked shall cease from troubling, and the weary shall be at rest. Every now and then we need a little reminder of our eternal resting place thats waiting for us, while we are down here as pilgrims and strangers. This poem was indeed a blessing to read....GOD BLESS!!
