Rest For the Weary

Lay your burdens at My feet,
    your head upon My chest.
I bring peace to troubled hearts,
    to tortured souls give rest.
We will walk through greener pastures
to restore the strength you've lost.
You can drink of Living Water
    because I paid the cost.
When high places seem so far apart
the valleys are dark and dreary,
With Me there is peace, joy and love,
and always rest for the weary.
Lay down your life, pick up the cross,
    come and follow Me daily.
Precept on precept, word upon word
and I will deliver you safely.
