Respect Builds Business

Being an employer
is much like being a parent
we all know the saying
a customer is always right

Business fails or succeeds
on it's reputation
customers come back
to the shops that they love

I remember hearing
upset one customer
and that customer
will talk to twelve people

those twelve people
will talk to twelve more
creating one hundred and forty four
people that aviod your shop

I remember working
in a restarant
watching the manager
have ago at his employee's

angry employees
then spoke with less respect
to the customers
how many customers lost their respect

after angry employees
destroyed the company's name
todays world treat employees
with little respect

demanding more
but wanting to pay less
respect is such a little word
yet it carrys the weight of the world

Kings have lost Kingdoms
when for the sake of war
they increased tax
to pay for their soldiers

struggling family's
living in poverty
lost their respect for the kings
revolutions started

the magna carter was created
the power of the king
lost to the new concept of government
todays world would have

people reduce wages
to improve business wealth
yet struggling family's
need wages to pay

ever increasing costs
the employee is also the customer
destroying wages
also destroys the comsumer market

so many company's
avoid high costs
building their products in
third world economys

yet the want to sell their products
in industrialised countrys
sweat shops treat people like slaves
when will we grow up

respect builds business
even employees deserve respect
