Residents of the Caves
Residents of the caves
know much about cave life
little about open clear life
darkness is light so cherished
light in open blessings so hated
Life has revealed to me much
what your eyes give about here
what your ears hear about here
cannot hung up in the heart
undisturbed it cannot rest there
Residents of the living caves
spiders, hyenas, snakes, scorpions
escape into darkness if scared
and life in caves is great happiness
as rest of world of light twitters
But forget that in all their cave lives
there is only one way in- no way out
