Reset

Darling, clear me up and reset my mind
Align our grand designs with time to unwind
A simple thing, to see the beauty in your face
How you look at me like I'm the only girl in the place

Memorizing every smile line in this moment of time
The curve of your nose, the black in your soul with mine
No audience to glare at ways we give ourselves to share
When I am you and you are me, the way we're easy like the air

A breeze between the fragile seams that hold us close
Take my hand; we'll see how deep the rabbit hole goes
Through flashbacks we share that intertwine our sunburnt hair
Forgotten ghosts of yesterday revealed today when no one cares

Reset my broken heart and redesign my war-torn mind
Let's let the past stay undefined and see just why our love is kind
I can't take your pain away from places that I can't contain
But take my hand and hold me close; you'll see that we are just the same
