Repent

Days
turn to weeks,
turn to months,
and then years.
Now at the end,
I have to
count the tears
I've caused
to those
I've held dear.
Truly, it was
never my intent
to have so much
for which I'd need
to repent.
But now my days
are all gone
my time
is all spent.
Most of all
I regret
hurting you
because you
were always this
broken girl's
cement.

In life we always have things that we regret, but there is always forgiveness that can happen especially when we are able to forgive ourselves for our past mistakes and move on. Thanks for sharing. Sara K
