Renewed

Upon the canvas in my mind
Quilted mountains greet sunrise
Softest kisses, sweet surprise
Brilliance charms the artist's brush
Delicate roses in hues of pink
Seem to make them blush

Laughing clouds speak dreams of love
Lightening jaded winter's frost
Lush forests offer quiet peace
To parched spirits who've become lost
Havens to slumber near sparkling brooks
In paradise born of dew drops from Heaven
And the change was priceless

I told someone else that when I read a verse that makes me jealous that I didn't write it, that means it's freaking great. The very first verse had me hooked; absolutely beautiful verse and many other fantastic verses throughout. I feel like I have found true and talented kindred souls here, people who have an actual, visceral grasp of quality poetry. Killer poem, and so help me God, I am not pandering just because you left me nice comments. It's quite obvious you and many are truly talented :)
