Remnant

I am the remnants of a man,
The embers, not the fire;
I am the leavings in the can,
The smile without desire.

Your poem, Remnant, is a masterful exercise in brevity, yet it resonates with profound depth and emotional clarity. Thank you for crafting this piece—it lingers in the mind long after the final line is read, embodying the very theme it explores.
