Remind Me Lord How Blessed I Am

Remind me, Lord, how blessed I am! I have no disease, from which to fear. Nor, do I live to be a winning poet! I am just average, and I do know it. A family outstanding, fills my heart with joy. A grandchild, off with honors, to University! A Varsity-lettered, humbled, grown boy! Remind me, Lord, how blessed I am! I outlived a most dreaded, deadly, disease.. Let me live each day, full of gratitude! Spare me the sin of writing, lazy platitudes. Above all, like you, teach me how to forgive. And with compassion, with joy, everyday to fully live! Not to take, but with a joyous heart, to fully give!

Dear Mickey, Sometimes, things happen at perfect times. In this case, my grandson was visiting and he never heard this poem! I asked, if I could read this poem to him. He smiled, and told me he did. Dear John..i am deeply touched by your comment.! You could not have givem me, any deeeper a compliment. So blessed to know you. I was thinking of you last night when I was watching Patrick on GB news.I hope your country doesn’t go the way our country is going. The way ours is..I mean, pushing the trans agenda in schools for a little kids, and giving away your country to immigrants who crawled over the border and our illegals …..truly .illegals. They come into this country illegally the The UK does not need all the people coming over like that. Then the Brits cannot speak out And Thousands a month and then you pay for them That is what is going on here?Pangie xx

Hello Darlene! It seems to me, this is the best year I ever had! When folks learn gratitude, almost nothing gets in your way, i have had times in my life when there was not enough food. But that is no time to be a grouch. Because God always provides some way. Even if you had a few pieces of bread and that’s all you would be the most happy woman on earth.. we don’t need big things to be grateful at all. I think you know that.. I have my family..is really the best. I know people have lost friends and people and I am sorry for them.. but you can’t be happy if you’re constantly moaning. I know you’re not.. and if you are you never told me. You are a blessing to other people here to a lot of of them. I guess that call you the angel of poetry soup!, Thank you for being kind to so many of us. For me this is the fifth year of friendship.And you have the gift of being a frien to so many. Pangie.xx

Sam, Wow! Am paralyzed with the Depth of your thought for others. I see too much of the opposite here. Winning a prize, is “nothing “compared to winning over a soul. I think some .learn that the hard way. I once was impressed by intellectuals. OMG,. You commented first~ I anwered you, last? Big apologies! I know of no daughter more loving than you. Nor, as honest in communicating with others. Then you married a believer and you raised my grandson who loves this world. And you taught him ethics and values… taught him there are words you do not say, and I can’t believe that you attended every baseball game he ever played since he was three years old.
