Remembrance
Write a song for warriors fallen,
Whose final words rang in battles heat;
Bodies strewn across the field,
Trampled neath the victors feet.
Write a song for lovers buried,
Joyful hearts stopped far too soon;
Who were laid to rest in wooded glades
Neath the light of a waning moon.
Write a song for souls who wander,
Seeking joy and peace of mind;
Pray that you'll not join their numbers,
That your fates be not entwined.
