Remembering When

I remember when...
We played in the rain
Built dove's sand house
The rain washed our every pain
The sensation when the breeze caught your blouse.

I remember when...
In the garden of bliss
The picnic we had
The first hug and the first kiss
Our hope of becoming mom and dad.

I remember when...
The storm came
From an unknown nowhere
We left, no one took the blame
But bled deep somewhere.

I remember when...
As you lay in my lap
The reconciliation heart
That bridged the gap
That once set us apart

I remember when...
I married you
You married me
What you said are still true
That you are all for me.
