Remembering Days Gone Past
REMEMBERING DAYS GONE PAST
Remembering days gone past
We thought they would last
But acting as a kid
Remembering things we did
Childhood neighbors and friends
Thought those days wouldn't end
Cherishing the games we played
Growing up, some kids strayed
Times were not the same
Though we knew each other's name
Parents showed family love
With the warmth of a dove
Mom and dad stressed education
And kids showed real dedication
We all had life dreams
Hard to realize, it seems
Childhood memories are so sweet
Because to remember is so neat
We thought they would last
Remembering days gone past
