Remembering Christmas
Merry Jolly happy prancing funny Santa Claus has no time to waste
His long fluffy handsome fanatical beard as white as Elmer’s paste.
His amazingly giving, generous heart is so full, the man has no waist.
Plus he has eaten six thousand frosted sugar cookies, made to taste.
Elves are in such a crazy, weird, delighted, mood, inebriated at best.
They get out the reindeer, and then run back to the workshop to rest.
Glad they do not have to fly around the world, a magnificent test.
That Santa gladly makes each year; his trip truly heaven-blessed.
Children watch carefully in their homes from Kenya to Kalamazoo.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa and reindeer, studying their flue.
The magic of Christmas is not wasted on the elders who long overdue,
Remember their own Christmases. Some amazing, some quite blue.
